The Super Bowl Just Got Personal For The Chiefs’ Rashad Fenton

Long before The Chief’s Rashad Fenton became a Super Bowl champion last Sunday night, he had spent plenty of time getting to know Hard Rock Stadium. Turns out, the defensive end’s after school job in high school was selling concessions during Dolphin’s games at the same stadium.

Fenton attended 9th and 10th grades at Miami Norland Senior High School and was required by coaches to work at the stadium. He told ESPN, “I still remember making hot dogs. I did nachos, filled up sodas and passed out peanuts. That was my weekend, week in and week out. I’m here for a different reason right now. Something far greater is destined for me.”

Rashad then went on to Carol City High School in Miami Gardens where one in four people live below the poverty line. After the Chiefs win, Rashad could be seen making snow angles out of confetti dropped on the field. Chances are he’s been dreaming of that for a very long time.
